If you’re a fan of soaps you might be aware that some fictional couples are tying the knot this Christmas, with Sandy and Fraser getting married in Hollyoaks and Alicia and David in Emmerdale set for a troublesome wedding day, all in the name of entertainment.
Winter-weddings needn’t be the stuff of nightmares though and I’ve been both the photographer and videographer at some truly stunning Christmas weddings which have looked simply beautiful.
If you are thinking about deviating from tradition and planning a wedding during the winter months you’ll be providing your guests with a welcome highlight of an otherwise dreary time in their social calendar.
Other benefits of a winter (or Christmas) wedding are that you’ll have more chance of your chosen dates being available, suppliers could be cheaper and jetting off to warmer climes for your honeymoon will seem even sweeter.
